Environmental Monitoring at Glen Innes Waste Management Depot
Glen Innes Severn Council (PO Box 61, GLEN INNES NSW 2370) holds Environmental Protection Licence (EPL) number 5939 relating to waste disposal by application to land, at the Glen Innes Waste Management Depot at 88 Rodgers Road Glen Innes.
The licence includes a requirement to perform environmental monitoring of air emissions, water and land pollution at various locations and frequencies. The aim of monitoring is to assess present environmental health risks due to methane emissions from surface areas and within the recycling facility, and landfill leachate contamination of surface water and ground water.
