Council is pleased to announce project works to replace the old timber bridge at the Mann River on Mt Mitchell Road is now underway.

The $1.4M project will involve the old timber bridge to be replaced by a new concrete bridge that will be higher, wider and will have re-aligned road approaches to increase user safety and reduce the number of road closures due to flooding.

The project is expected to take ten months, with a full road closure in place at the Mann River on Mt Mitchell Road - due to the topographical constraints of the site.
Alternate access to the Mt Mitchell area east of the Mann River will be via Glen Legh Road.

Council thanks the community for their patience, and any questions may be directed to Council’s Infrastructure Customer Service line on 6730 2371
This project funded by the NSW Government's Fixing Country Bridges program, and will be delivered by Council’s Works Department and specialist contractors.
